We started working with Francine Balinskas in November 2019. Being purchasers from out of state (800+ miles away), this buying process could have been more stressful than a typical purchase. During our week of house hunting, Francine was a pleasure to work with. She knew immediately what we were looking for, focused on the best use of our time and found the perfect new home for our relocation. During the build over the next 5 months, Francine always responded to our questions, coordinated calls with the builder's sales office and took care of any issues we had. With Covid-19 in the middle of this all, she did the initial inspections for us, handled the closing, and went above and beyond to insure that we were able to close without issue and move into our beautiful new home on time. We would highly recommend working with Francine and know that we made a lifetime friend. Active Adults Realty met every expectation and made this process a great experience.

Yes, we did it! Actually, Francine Balinskas did it for us. She went through our wishes and preferences, took that clearly as it was for her family. She was spending as much time as we needed, cleared up all nuances, which we had a lot of, being MD residents. So during our 4th tour through some properties we got our beach place! I would like to share my experience with my Realtor, Francine Balinskas with Active Adult Realty in Lewes, Delaware. I was moving from North Caroline to Delaware, to be closer to my children. I knew I wanted to live in an over 55 community with many amenities. I also wanted a single family home. Francine knew exactly what property would work for my needs. The first property she showed me, and my sons, was the one I bought. Francine was always available when I had questions. She was very patient and always helped get me answers. I now live in Bay Crossing in Lewes, Delaware and love the choice I made.

7/31/19 Now that we are settled in our new home at Independence, Millsboro, DE, I have some time to express my gratitude to Francine Balinskas, our realtor with Active Adults Realty. My husband and I were so delighted to be connected to Fran, as she was a big help to us. She spoke sincerely about the communities that were available to us after we expressed what we were looking for in a forever home. She listened and confirmed our feelings regarding the active adult community of Schell Brothers, Independence. While we were going through the process of making selections to design our home, her input was invaluable. Fran, met with us many times to walk through the construction of our home. We employed Francine to search for our new house in Southern Delaware beginning in Summer 2021
until our successful closing in June 2022. Francine was fully dedicated and highly motivated to find our
new house. She was always extremely trustworthy and had superlative knowledge, experience, and
communication skills. She was very professional and personable and it was a pleasure to work with her.
She did an absolutely outstanding job.
In Summer 2021 and Spring 2022, Francine drove us all over the Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Milton and
Millsboro area to 10+ developments to educate us about the established and new housing
developments. She learned about our preferences for an affordable, high-quality house and builder, for
a house that is reasonably close to the beach and for a 55+ community and she tailored our search
accordingly. She set up meetings with multiple development sales agents and several house showings
within a very busy productive schedule. She worked tirelessly, she was always available, she was very
patient as we considered the opportunities and she continually explained the trade-offs between the
different housing developments.
In Spring 2022, Francine gave us advance notice that a house in the Schell Brothers “Independence”
community would be listed for re-sale. We proactively visited the house and immediately made an offer
which was accepted. Francine continued to demonstrate her value by recommending a mortgage
lender, settlement attorney and inspector which made the entire process very effective, seamless, and
uneventful. Francine also was very effective in working with the Sellers realtor agent to answer our
numerous questions about the house and to enlist the support of her Active Adults Realty broker, Bill
Davis, to resolve a few contract questions to our satisfaction. Francine’s performance is even more
impressive considering that we relocated from Pennsylvania to Delaware and had to communicate
effectively via phone calls, text messages and emails to accomplish a lot of the work required to
purchase the house and close at settlement. In summary, Francine was instrumental in helping us find
our beautiful new home in our ideal 55+ community and she made the entire process very smooth and
successful.
